Friday saw us tackle this Jeep Wrangler. The customer required a Front Runner Slimline 2 Roof Rack, a TentBox Soft Shell Roof Tent and an Oztent Eco FoxWing Awning fitting. 

Starting a little after 9 the team began by fitting the Front Runner Roof Rack. This required the roof to be taken off the vehicle so that the mounting holes could be drilled accurately as well as making more space to fit the brackets to the rear roll bars within the inside of the vehicle. 

Once all marked up and drilled the brackets were fastened in place, the roof was reattached to the vehicle and then the rack was installed. 

The team then moved on to installing the newly launched TentBox Soft Shell Roof Tent to the rack. Using a Tent Mounting Kit by Front Runner the roof tent was installed with no issues. Although slightly larger than the rack, the customer was happy with the placement of the roof tent. 

The Eco Foxwing 270 Awning was the last item to be fitted. This was installed using heavy duty brackets which were fastened to the underside of the rack. One of these brackets had to be reduced in length due to the large foot at the rear of the roof rack. Was attached to the brackets the awning was slid into the correct place so that the 270 degree awning could open up around the rear of the vehicle without any issues of hitting the car or the tent, and it was then tightened up to securely hold it in place. 

Having a Jeep Wrangler in the workshop made a change from all the Land Rover Defenders that we see come through our doors.
