Another beautiful day in Yorkshire and we have yet another Hannibal roof tent to fit as well as a 2.4m Awning. Our customer already had a Hannibal roof rack fitted to his Land Rover Defender 130 so fitment of the awning was simple. The roof tent on the other hand was a little time consuming due to the very narrow gap between rack and vehicle. A tent mounting kit would be advised if possible when mounting a roof tent to give that little extra clearance. Our team manufactured some mounting bars from thick aluminium bar and strapped the tent down to the rack using the mounting bars which were made in house. As the vehicle came with an expedition rail around three sides we had to remove one side to allow for the tent to open. The design of the Hannibal rack allowed us to do this by just removing a few bolts.
