With this lovely weather we have been seeing this week we have had a constant flow of vehicles in for fitments. This particular Defender 90 came in to have a new Front Runner Slimline 2 Roof Rack installed. With the rack carefully built up on a carpeted table before installation the feet can be measured and spaced to the correct positions allowing for a simple drop on of the rack. 

Using one and a half Front Runner Tent Mount Kits the 1.8m Darche Hi View Roof Tent is easily installed on the top of the rack. The 1800mm wide tent has plenty of room to sleep the entire family with the annex room below as a spacious living area. We chose to use one and a half tent mount kits due to the size of the tent. Without the additional brackets there would be a large unsupported area of the tent. 

The LALD006 Front Runner ladder was installed on the rear of the vehicle. Drilling through the capping is required to install the ladder. The ladder allows easy access to the roof for erecting and closing the tent.
